SDUT celebrated the Double Ninth Festival or Senior Citizens' Day with its retired faculty and staff on October 9th or the ninth day of the ninth month in the lunar calendar.
In the afternoon, an art performance, Recall the Long March, Celebrate the Double Ninth Festival, organized by the Retirement Office and the Music School, was held in the hall of the Music School. President Zhang Tiezhu delivered a speech with great passion. And some senior comrades performed wonderful shows which presented their deep love to school and optimistic attitudes towards their senior life.
Back in the morning, a birthday party was held for those 70-year-old retired comrades at the Senior Citizens’ Center of the west campus. Zhang Yusheng, Deputy Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, attended the party with greetings.
