On the occasion of the second National Day of Science and Technology Workers, in the morning of May 29th, 2018, SDUT Science and Technology Association was founded and the celebration of the National Day of Science and Technology Workers was held at the lecture hall of SDUT Yifu Library.
The meeting were attended by JI Hongbo, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Association for Science and Technology of Shandong Province, MA Xiaolei, Deputy Secretary of Zibo Municipal Committee, Party Secretary of Zhangdian District, ZHANG Tiezhu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUT, YI Weiming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party and Vice President of SDUT, BIAN Jun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Science and Technology Association of Zibo. The conference was chaired by LIU Ping, Deputy Secretary-General of Zibo Municipal Committee.
BIAN Jun read out the Approval for the Establishment of the Association for Science and Technology of Shandong University of Technology isuued by the Association for Science and Technology of Shandong Province.

MA Xiaolei delivered a speech to express congratulations on the establishment of the Association on behalf of Zibo municipal party committee and the municipal government, and extended greetings to all the science and technology workers in Zibo. Ma said that Shandong University of Technology, as a key provincial university, had made great contributions to the economic and social development of Zibo for a long time. The establishment of SDUT Science and Technology Association will surely encourage the university to achieve greater results in the areas of high-level scientific research, production-study-research cooperation, scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, and integration of the university and local development. It will also play a role as an example and model for the universities and colleges all around Zibo city.
ZHANG Tiezhu pointed out in his speech that the establishment of SDUT Association for Science and Technology was a major event which was worthy of celebrating and would provide new institutional guarantee, organizational support and activity platform for academic exchanges and scientific researches and innovations of the university, and would surely inspire the enthusiasm and creativity of researchers in the university thus to promote scientific researches and innovations.
ZHANG Tiezhu emphasized that it was of great importance to focus on promoting the Association and bringing it into effect and firstly we must conscientiously perform relevant duties, improve ourselves, and strive to become a key force for promoting the development of science and technology; secondly, we must continue to play a role as a bridge and to improve the supply for science and technology and service capability for economic and social development; Third, we must give prominence to the organization for coordinating, and contribute to the deep implementation of major projects of the new and old kinetic energy conversion and rural revitalization strategy in Shandong Province.
Ji Hongbo expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of SDUT Association for Science and Technology on behalf of the provincial association. With regard to the next step of the school association, he stressed that first, it was necessary to work on the new requirements of the Science and Technology Association, and strive to be at the forefront of colleges and universities in Shandong; second, to prosper academic exchanges and actively organize academic exchanges; third, to strengthen technology leadership and promote the deep integration of science and technology and economy of Shandong; Fourth, science popularization must be carried out to improve the scientific quality of all the citizens; Fifth, we must embrace advise and suggestions on the transformation of old and new kinetic energy; Sixth, we must promote innovative culture, build a good atmosphere in society, and make academic research develop in a favorable manner; Seventh, we must strengthen self-construction, enhance service capability, and improve the service level to members of the Association.
