Chinese Glossy Privet was in full blossom in June and it’s time for graduation. On the morning of June 23rd, 2021, SDUT held a graduation ceremony at the Central Stadium to congratulate the 2021 graduates on the successful completion of their studies. The graduates would pursue their dreams in the name of youth.

Presented at the ceremony were university leaders, including LYU Chuanyi, HU Xingyu, DENG Changliang, LIU Guohua, WANG Libin, WEI Xiuting, ZHA Yuxi, YI Weiming, ZHANG Jinsheng, SU Shoubo and heads of the academic schools, deputy secretary of the Party Committee (General Party Branch) in charge of student affairs, counselors of graduates and 2021 graduates. The ceremony was presided over by ZHA Yuxi, vice president and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of SDUT.
Before the ceremony, SDUT meticulously prepared the joint singing and recitation of We Graduate Today and the song Farewell.

University leaders awarded diplomas and degree certificates to the graduate representatives and awarded honorary certificates to the outstanding graduate representatives.
With the song of Grateful Heart, the graduate representatives presented flowers to the representatives of the faculty and staff, expressing thankfulness to them for their hard work and careful cultivation.
GAO Minghao, a graduate from School of Transportation & Vehicle Engineering said on behalf of graduates that the future was like a brilliant galaxy and we were full of confidence to embark on a new journey. On behalf of the teachers, SUN Juntao from School of Mathematics and Statistics encouraged the graduates to carry forward the moral spirit, learn to persevere, never forget lifelong learning and truly become the backbone of the country.
HU Xingyu, chairman of Academic Degrees Conferment Committee, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of SDUT, delivered a speech entitled Bravely Carrying out the Mission of the Times and Live up to the Beautiful Youth. He pointed out that in recent years, students have actively strived to be “Five-Have” talents with youth and sweat and have strived to achieve all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor skills. Graduation season had become your harvest season. The way each of you strived for your dreams was the most beautiful and coolest scenery on campus.
As the 2021 graduates set off, HU Xingyu put forward three ardent hopes for everyone. First, it was hoped that graduates should know what is of vital importance to the nation and bravely carry out the mission of the times. They should integrate their personal ideals into the cause of the Party and China and let youth blossom in places where the Party and the people need it most.
Second, it was hoped that graduates should strive to be strong men in life and smile to face the changes in life. Only by constantly learning and strengthening the ability to change and to cope with changes, could they cultivate new opportunities in the crisis and open new situations in the changing situation. They should firmly establish the concept of lifelong learning, keep enthusiasm for learning forever, perceive the wonderful world and achieve a better self in change.
Third, it was hoped that graduates should be based on the ability of industry to achieve greater value. They should learn to start from the grassroots level, do small things prudentially and steadfastly to lay a solid foundation for achieving dreams. They should learn to compete with themselves and make a little progress every day, life would make a big difference.
Finally, HU Xingyu said affectionately that no matter where you would be in the future and no matter where you would settle down in the future, SDUT would always be your spiritual home. Teachers of SDUT would always care about you. SDUT would welcome you to come back home.
